Well, it’s been a brutal week. My graph is full of spikes. As soon as I win a buy-in, I proceed to lose it back. Last night, literally seconds apart. AA vs. KK all-in preflop and my Aces hold (first time in all day unfortunately). On another table, I have 88 and the flop is 478. We get it all in on the flop and he of course has 56, and the board doesn’t pair. I ended up basically breakeven for the day, but it was pretty wearing. I played almost 10k hands and knocked off 1472 VPPs, which puts me back on my 1k/day pace (less than 15k left to go!!!) after Angie’s birthday celebration.
She was in Redmond, and wasn’t supposed to be home until 11pm on Friday night, but she caught the 2pm flight. So I frantically found dog care (awesome neighbors!!!), and booked a room at Caesar’s to surprise her. She got home, packed a few items for the night and off we went. We played a lot of video poker with double up of course, and then a few penny slots. Met a funny guy from Texas who comes to Vegas a lot to play penny slots. He actually gave Angie $20 to play with because it was her birthday. lol
We finally got to sleep around 4:30am, and then got up, checked out, and had breakfast. Yummy omelets. The day was actually dragging on until we finally met up with Roxanne and her daughter for drinks and dinner…and the much awaited Dave Matthews / Tim Reynolds show. It was awesome and Angie claims it was her best birthday ever…she also refers to it as her halfway to 70.
Ir WAS the best birthday ever – thanks for making it such a great celebration. :) You are so thoughtful and take such wonderful care of me!
